LORD OF PEACE - available for sale

Wonderful Miervaldis, son of Harmony and Ligero de Gredos, born and raised on the farm has turned 5 years old and is now ready for adoption!

This is a unique offer for a really cherished and well-brought-up family horse- a rare gem on any horse sales site these days! He is not a piece of sports equipment, but a member of the family and as such he is presented.

5yo Andalusian/Hanover gelding Lord of Peace (Miervaldis) :

He has been raised in a family environment, and from an early age he has been handled daily. He has gone for many long hikes with the other horses (lead from the ground). He has experience with umbrellas, plastic tarps, play ball, sounds, machinery etc.

Overall he has extensive experience from the ground, has done simple tricks like to step on a pedestal, Spanish step, free-jumping, has worked with Equiband and cavaleti poles. He has solid education in working on lunge line and has recently began long-lining too.

He lives 24/7 outside with free entrance stable in a mixed herd of 4, receives proper supplement balancers etc and has not had any health issues. Of course regular ferrier visits (he goes barefoot) and dental work is all up to date.

You can read about our herd and training here:

He is mix between Hanover mum (Harmony - the black mare that can be seen in the photo nr.4.) and PRE stallion Ligero de Gredos. Grandfather PRE Revoltoso XXIX , Pedigree available here: https://lwhorse.lv/horse/57247

Back x-rays done at age 3 revealed kissing spine, so appropriate training protocol has been in place to develop him as a healthy and comfortable ridden companion too. Currently he gets 2x chiropractic treatments per year, his back is not painful and he stands strong and keeps muscle well on a leisurely regiment. Both vet and chiropractor has given green lights, his back isn't painful in his current training set-up. There are of course things to consider- 1) proper warm up always, no cold backing 2) appropriate in-hand dressage, pole workouts, and our personal favorite - Balance Through Movement Method and Pillar 1 3) really making sure proper saddle fit with spine clearance. all these three things should be non-negotiable for any horse really, but something you won't "get away with" here.

His training so far has been slow and steady, all about building a foundation and fostering cooperation.

His character type is Perfectionist so he needs to be given his time to be taken through education at his pace, but once he knows what is asked of him - he does it with endless energy and enthusiasm.

Trailer loading: he loads straight away and easy (under 30seconds ;) it has been a big priority to prepare all our young horses for this from early age. He has done 6 big drives (230km each to our seaside property) with a companion and travels well. However he is NOT ready to travel SOLO, only with companion horse to ensure continues positive experiences for the young man.

He has been raised as a family horse and I would like to see him become someone's one-and-only! A trustworthy and steady companion. He is a versatile horse and he will thrive with all sorts of activities together with his person- whether that is riding, driving, hacking out, dressage work or simple walks together. If he has aroused your interest, welcome to visit us and get to know him.
