Wholesale Terms and Conditions

Minimum Order – Minimum wholesale orders are 500eur.


MOQ - For products made-to-order MOQ - 12 items per shape & size & colour*

Payment Terms – We require full pre-payment. Shipping is calculated and invoiced after packaging&before sending to give you the most precise estimate. Final invoice is due before shipping.

Sales Tax Information – Latvia has 21% tax added, send your VAT registration number - registered companies are VAT exempt (EU & USA).

Timing - Our company is operated by 2 potters and ALL of our work is handmade without the use of jiggers or machines.

The nature of ceramics puts our estimated time to complete a small order to no less than 4weeks after starting.

Depending upon the time of year and size of order this timeline will increase. We know our limitations, and will always give you an honest estimation of time.

On average we make 300 (small/medium size) items per month. Each item undergoes minimum 4-week drying-firing-glazing-final firing cycle.

Shipping – We offer regular and express worldwide delivery.

Regular is 3-5weeks to USA, 2 weeks to EU.

Fedex Express is 5days worldwide.

Estimate 15-20% of order value for regular shipping (2-4weeks) and average 20-30% of order value for Fedex Express shipping (5 business days).

Shipping is generally less expensive for larger orders so we recommend to order multiple items at one time to save on shipping costs.*

*For example our average box contains 20 dinner plates and 20 latte mugs and costs approximately 200eur with Fedex from Latvia to USA.

Our max box size is 50x50x50cm (20 inches) up to 30kg weight.

Larger order can also delivered on a pellet with cargo.

For example delivery of 500 tableware items will cost about 1000eur within EU / or approximately 10% of order value.

Returns - we offer standard 14 day return window, however custom-made and made-to-order items are NON-RETURNABLE. Please inquire before making an order to make sure if that applies to your order.

Breakage During Shipping – Check your merchandise immediately after you receive it. All parcels are insured and therefore to be eligible for a refund the damage report must be received within 3 days of delivery and must include image of outer packaging and the broken item.

If report is received correctly, you will be eligible for a refund.

Variations

Minor variations in size, shape and colour common to hand-crafted products are to be expected. Up to 2cm size difference is acceptable for our handmade items.

Every effort is made to assure that all pieces sold in a set are as closely matched as possible. It is not possible to guarantee a perfect match to items you may already own.

Several of the handmade glazes are special-effect glazes, meaning the matte/gloss/texture varies from piece to piece.

Everything is handmade by our small, but powerful team of 2 women (Laima & Oksana) at our gorgeous, light-filled studio in the deep countryside of Latvia!

Everything is handmade in one of these techniques:

1) slab-rolling (plates and open bowls in a range of sizes)

2) wheel-throwing (cups, mugs, bowls, teapots, jugs, carafes, vases etc)

3) coiling/hand building (light objects, large scale floor vases and flower planters)

 

LOGO branding

Each piece holds the blessing “Laima” which means “Happiness” in Latvian and is the name of the maker/designer (Laima Piliņa) as well as 10mm circular makers mark/logo.

For collaborations we can apply another stamp alongside on the base with “special edition for / & / for in the middle”

Send us your brand vector file to our specifications so “collaboration” stamp design can be developed by our in-house graphic designer.

Wooden stamp cost + design-fee for logo alteration is 69eur +vat in addition to "custom made work fee" per item (starting from 10% of order value).

Custom stamp logo guidelines

circular logo :  1.2 -2cm diameter 

rectangular brand name: max 3cm length, height 0.6cm to max 1cm 

!!! Important!!! Stamp has to be small so it can be pressed easily in semi-hard clay!

For items like plates - bigger stamp is possible (up to 4cm either way).

No element in the stamp can be smaller than 2mm, or it might not be eligible.

Custom orders - we are open to create bespoke, custom made work.

Minimum quantity for custom made orders : 1 item

On-boarding design development fee : starting from 200eur per 1 item design development (this include back-and-forth email consultations discussing your project specification & video call if necessary).

Development time: 1+ months (Depending on the amount of changes needed to shapes/colours already available. Each new sample-set has minimum 4 week making-firing cycle.)

We do not work with plaster moulds, so we can offer great flexibility with creating new designs on quick notice.

Custom order step-by-step

STEP 1: send your idea image/sketch

STEP 2: payment to initiate design development + payment for first sample set production

STEP 3: review high quality image of the sample or order 3day express delivery

STEP 4: receive quota for further making process of the items and proceed to full payment

STEP 5: get images of the products in process and when finished

STEP 6: select your preferred delivery method (5days with Fedex or 2-4weeks with regular courier) and pay the final delivery invoice

STEP 7: enjoy your custom made unique artworks handmade especially for you!
