FOOD/CATERING INFO

There is kitchen to make meals in, as well as a couple of amazing restaurants and cafes in 5-20min driving distance.

We can also fully cater this retreat. We can cater to pisceterican, vegetarian and vegan diet choices.

We recommend these cafes/restaurants nearby:

Aveņi (in Bauska)

Tornis (in Bauska)

Rezidence (near Rundale palace)

Baltā Māja (near Rundale palace)

If you would prefer to cook for yourself during your stay it is an option too as there is a kitchen on site, just get in touch.

Where I can do my extra food shopping ?

We recommend the farmers market in Bauska for local seasonal vegetables, meat and fish. And Rimi shopping mall has everything else. There is also a small seasoning shop in Bauska.

The nearest shop next to Bauska Bus Station is the mini Rimi. If you arrive with a car, it will be more convenient for you to shop at hypermarket Rimi.

How can I arrive in the studio?

Some people choose to rent the car- in this case put "LAIMA CERAMICS” in navigation and you will easily find us.

Alternatively, we offer pick-up from Bauska bus station (20mi drive) or RIX airport (1.1hour drive), just write to us when making a reservation to arrange a pick-up time!

How about glazing? Will I get pre-mixed glazes?

There are a selection with pre-mixed studio glazes to choose from for your use, see here.
